The Senior Tax Accountant position is located at our Fort Worth, Texas facility. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in R&D tax law, tax forecasting, and tax compliance. You will work closely with other teams and departments to ensure seamless integration of tax-related activities and contribute to the company's financial success.

What You Will Be Doing
Some key responsibilities for the role include:

- Identify and document innovative activities eligible for the R&D tax credit, unlocking significant financial benefits for the company.
- Drive financial insights by preparing various R&D tax credit schedules for quarterly close, tax returns, and long-range plans, including variance analysis.
- Lead R&D tax credit federal and state audits for the Aeronautics business unit.
- Support Sarbanes Oxley internal controls processes.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance, ensuring the tax function remains a strategic partner to the business.
- Participate in digital transformation initiatives that leverage technology to streamline tax processes, improve data management, and enhance the overall tax function.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are requirements that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

- Minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience.
- Demonstrated experience communicating complex tax concepts clearly to various stakeholders.
- Experience meeting strict deadlines under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly with Excel and Word (features include: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas, Multiple Worksheets, Tables, Templates, etc.)
- Experience leading cross functional projects and drive process improvement initiatives.
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates:

- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Current CPA license or CPA eligible
- Masters Degree in Tax or Accounting
- Experience with AI, Alteryx, Power Query, Tableau and/or digital transformation tools
- Recent experience in Big Four or large public accounting firm
- State and federal audit experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
