Job Responsibilities
Description:This position reports to the Lockheed Martin (LM) Environment, Safety, Health and Sustainability (ESHS) Analytics and Assurance team.
The staff Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) engineer will analyze, develop and support the execution of various ESH programs for Lockheed Martin. The position interfaces directly with ESHS staff members, other corporate functional staff including Legal, Global Supply Chain, and Facilities, and Business Area ESH and Operations leadership and professionals.
Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Lead and support various ESHS initiatives including Peer Assessments, Structured Improvement Activities (SIAs), Participative Ergonomics teams and the Ergo Cup.
• Analyze and trend ESH data (close call, incident, injury, performance evaluation, risk assessment, self-assessment, peer assessment) utilizing traditional tools/ methods and advanced Lockheed Martin artificial intelligence (AI) tools and effectively communicate insights and findings to leadership, ESHS staff, BA ESH staff, customers and stakeholders
• Leverage data-driven recommendations to inform leadership decisions on strategic initiatives and resource allocation to improve ESH performance
• Support the ESHS industrial hygiene (IH) program including developing and implementing innovative tools, methodologies and systems to promote the elimination, minimization, mitigation and management of chemical, physical and emerging hazards in the workplace
• Support 1LMX and OneLM culture initiatives
• Support business area ESH staff in requested programs and activities.
• Implement common programs and processes across ESH function to achieve affordability, efficiency and compliance objectives.
Additional responsibilities will be assigned based on organization needs.
This position requires up to 30% travel.
Basic Qualifications:
• ESH-related technical education and training, or similarly technical education or training in a data analytics related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in ESH or data analytics related discipline
• Experience with data analytics and proficient use of traditional and AI data analysis tools
• Ability to effectively collaborate with peers and leadership across the corporation.
• Demonstrated program/project management skills
• Strong writing and oral/written presentation skills
• Experience analyzing existing and emerging regulatory requirements, assessing impact and implications for operations
• Experience developing written programs, plans and elements (training or command media)
• Advanced level of proficiency with computer-based productivity tools and applications (Microsoft Office tools)
Desired Skills:
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or recognized certification in ESH field
• Demonstrated strategic and analytical thinking skills
• Experience with data visualization and business intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Vizio)
• Demonstrated experience developing, implementing and supporting both environmental and safety and health programs
• Demonstrated project management experience and oversight of budget elements
• Demonstrated success at building relationships within a team (team leader or participant)
• Experience as a team leader or participant on cross-business or cross-functional team
• Experience participating on teams or projects involving multiple business areas or multiple functions
• Knowledge of and experience with ESH management system elements
• Ability to understand complex issues and formulate plans and program objectives, with limited or no direction or guidance
• Ability to effectively engage at multiple organizational levels
• LM21 green or black belt or other continuous improvement tools and techniques knowledge
• International ESH regulations and programs experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $109,200 - $189,290. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $95,000 - $167,440. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
