Job Responsibilities
Description:Plans sequence of machining operations, determines proper machines to be used and produces parts from start to finish, utilizing machinery available so that the number of setups and operations performed are held to a minimum. This classification requires the regular performance of typical distinguishing duties set forth in job descriptions established for three or more of the following classifications:
Machinist – Jig Borer/Horizontal Boring Mill
Machinist – Lathe
Machinist – Milling Machine
Machinist – Numerically Controlled Milling Machine
Grinder – Precision Parts/Tool & Cutter
PERFORMS SUCH RELATED DUTIES AS:
Operates various types of computer numerically controlled machines.
*** Must Be Able to Work Any Shift***
Performs rework of the level of difficulty of the operations described above.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires six years of experience in the operation of manual machine tools (mills, lathes, jig bores) and Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Milling.
Ability to write CNC machine programs without the aid of CAD-CAM (such as CATIA or Master CAM) systems.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
The base range for this position in California is $27.51 - 44.85.
