Description:

You will be the JASSM D Aircraft Integration & Flight Test Lead, reporting to the JASSM I&T Lead. Your team will plan, schedule, prepare, and execute aircraft integration and flight test activities, ensuring the JASSM D missile meets all performance, safety, and certification requirements. You’ll work closely with the program office, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and test ranges to deliver successful flight test campaigns.

What You Will Be Doing
As the technical overseer of JASSM D flight testing, you will guide the end to end test effort—from pre flight reviews through full mission flight trials—while coordinating cross functional stakeholders and maintaining rigorous safety and security standards.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Lead the planning and execution of all aircraft integration and flight test tasks.
• Conduct and chair pre flight reviews (PSRR, MSR, TRR) and ensure review deliverables are complete.
• Manage System Integration Level (SIL) testing and Flight Termination System (FTS) certification testing.
• Supervise pre flight ground testing, captive carry trials, and full mission flight tests.
• Develop and maintain test schedules, risk registers, and status reports for program leadership.
• Interface daily with IPT leads, test range personnel, and external suppliers to resolve integration issues.
• Provide technical troubleshooting for hardware/software subsystems and test instrumentation kits (TIK).
• Ensure compliance with classified hardware handling, software loading, and overall information security policies.
• Mentor and coordinate the test team, fostering a collaborative, safety first culture.
• Travel as required to test ranges, supplier sites, and off shift activities.

Must be willing to work overtime (as-needed), support off shifts/weekends as needed, and travel occasionally to support test activities or supplier sites.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. A Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
•  5 + years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
• Demonstrated missile flight test planning and execution
• Experience with missile launch sequence and control operations
•  Basic understanding of both hardware and software concepts, with hands on experience in hardware software integration and subsystem HW/SW testing.
•  Demonstrated skills in diagnosing problems and coordinating other stakeholders
•  Active DoD Secret clearance (investigation ≤ 5 years).
Desired Skills:
•  Understanding of classified hardware and software protection, software loading requirements, and overall information security best practices.
•  Excellent technical writing, planning, and verbal communication abilities; strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with internal teams, government customers, and other stakeholders.
• Hands on experience with Flight Termination Systems (FTS) and Test Instrumentation Kits (TIK).
• Team oriented work style – Proven ability to lead and work well in a collaborative, fast paced environment and to build solid relationships with teammates, IPT leads and leadership.
• Familiarity with MIL STD 1553 interface, Universal Armament Interface (UAI), and Missile OFP development.
• Control room experience reviewing real time telemetry (TM) during flight tests.
• Subsystem HW/SW integration and qualification testing expertise.
• Proven ability to interface effectively with software engineers, designers, production personnel, and suppliers.
• Demonstrated skill in troubleshooting problems and coordinating integration participants to maximize I&T program efficiency.
• Test equipment management experience, covering functional verification, calibration, and security requirements.
• Ability to ensure test data are accurately recorded, cataloged, and maintained for audit and analysis.
•  Experience managing test equipment, including functional verification, calibration, and security compliance
•  Debugging experience using telemetry, data collection tools, and data reduction techniques.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
