Description:The Program Affordability & Cost Competitiveness Senior Analyst will be responsible for identifying, analyzing and driving program affordability, cost competitiveness, and other strategic business initiatives to increase MFC’s enterprise-value. The analyst will partner with all levels of the organization to identify and develop strategies to increase MFC’s margins by helping drive better program performance and partnering with programs to increase Cost Reduction Initiatives, negotiation gains, and savings generated from financial instruments (e.g. FEAs) and other one-time events. The Program Affordability & Cost Competitiveness Senior Analyst will work to develop annual Cost Competitiveness targets in coordination with the LOBs and FP&A, and be responsible for coordinating with all program and functional stakeholders to track and report actuals against those targets for monthly LOB/MFC reporting and Quarterly Performance Reporting (QPR) to Corporate. This role will require someone with strong Project Management skills and financial and business acumen; the selected candidate will be responsible for independently assessing Strategic Business Cases in preparation for the annual Key Investments review process. The selected candidate will coordinate efforts across multiple Program Areas and functional areas to diagnose complex strategic and financial issues, identify appropriate financial and operational goals, and drive and influence others to achieve favorable business outcomes. The senior analyst will be responsible for coordinating with Finance, Engineering, Production Operations, Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Strategy & Business Development, and other key stakeholders to support several enterprise-level deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
• Planning and execution of Cost Competitiveness reporting requirements.
• Cost Competitiveness Quarterly Performance Reporting process and coordination of all inputs across MFC business area.
• Partner with LOBs and key functions to establish processes to identify, measure and track all MFC cost competitiveness initiatives.
• Drive culture change and process improvement by partnering with key stakeholders across functional boundaries.
• Perform independent assessment of program business cases for MFC key investments process and other strategic projects.
• Responsible for streamlining recurring business processes and integrating workflows where appropriate, coordinating with all relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Production Operations and Functional Finance to analyze and drive Performance Management Team (PMT) / Lean Six Sigma (LSS) activities.
• Partner with Global Supply Chain to identify bulk-buy and FEA opportunities for cost reductions; coordinate with Corporate Global Supply Chain for Strategic Relationship Management (SRM) and Category Management (CM) savings opportunities.
• Work with 1LMX team to drive program and functional adoption and to understand and track 1LMX related cost reductions.
• Facilitate coordination between Program Teams and the Advanced Manufacturing Team drive implementation of additive manufacturing and other novel manufacturing techniques on production and development programs.
• Partner with subject matter experts to build training materials to help drive affordability focus and familiarity with program affordability activities and tools (e.g. FEAs, Value Engineering Change Proposals, etc.).
• Develop analytical tools and frameworks to help identify cost reduction opportunities (e.g. analysis of Firm Fixed Price / Fixed Price Incentive Fee backlog); conduct comprehensive analysis of program costs for savings opportunities.
• Support independent evaluation of whether or not programs have credible Design-to-Cost plans.

This role requires a large degree of self-direction and the ability to drive projects to closure with a variety of stakeholders, ranging from peers to executive leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or similar)
• Solid understanding of financial policies, procedures and processes
• Deep financial and business acumen
• Demonstrated experience in strategic and financial analysis
• Strong familiarity with MFC financial systems and the ability to query data to conduct numerous ad-hoc analyses
• Exceptional technical financial modeling skills
• Demonstrated experience with Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), IRR/NPV calculations, scenario, decision matrix, What-ifs, and sensitivity analysis
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, developing long-term business cases and other strategic projects
• Entrepreneurial drive and a desire to generate incremental shareholder value
• Team-Player with a self-starter attitude
Desired Skills:
• A Masters’ degree in a related discipline
• Professional financial designations (CFA/ CPA, Etc.)
• Demonstrated experience in the identification, qualification, and execution of cost reduction or other strategic initiatives
• Strong technical, systems engineering, and production acumen
• Prior Independent Cost Estimate and other Estimating experience
• Strong analytical skills to dissect and understand cost proposals
• Price to Win; Design to Cost acumen
• Demonstrated experience and comfort in presenting to executive management
• Ability to create compelling executive-level presentations to support decision making
• Prior experience with culture change and process improvement initiatives

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
