You will be a Lead Systems Engineer (LdSE) at Lockheed Martin, responsible for providing oversight of the Javelin program's systems engineering team and day-to-day interface with Chief Engineers, Program Managers, Technical Leads, Suppliers, and Customers. What You Will Be Doing
As a Lead Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Providing oversight of the program's systems engineering team and day-to-day interface with Chief Engineers, Program Managers, Technical Leads, Suppliers, and Customers
• Supporting Production and Development efforts, including system trades to requirements and compliance, implementation, integration, and verification
• Transitioning to production and design upgrades required for intended applications
• Championing opportunities to incorporate Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Leading a team to achieve successful demonstration of program development milestones, such as Systems Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), system integration and test, and Functional Configuration Audit (FCA)
• Communicating technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership, and functional leadership, as well as externally to the customer
• Coordinating or managing subcontractors and subcontract technical management
• Building relationships with team members, direct reports, and stakeholders

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. A Secret with an investigation or Continuous Vetting (CV) date within 5 years is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering activities in support of missile programs, including but not limited to CONOPS and trade studies, system analyses to bound requirements and finalize the architecture, IBM DOORS and Cameo Enterprise Architecture experience on program, configuration control of the technical baseline, verification planning and execution, affordability considerations, and risk and opportunity management.
• Experience required includes DoD tactical system development program experience, customer interface, requirements derivation/allocation, management of subcontracts, understanding of Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) and their application, and participation in major design reviews.
• A Secret with an investigation or Continuous Vetting (CV) date within 5 years is required to start.
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with formal decision analysis methods.
• Experience with the entire program lifecycle from technology demonstrations to transition to production and sustainment.
• Experience in Systems Engineering input for proposals and development of basis of estimates (BOEs).
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
