This position is located at Lockheed Martin's Manassas, Virginia facility and is part of a team of Classified Cybersecurity Professionals supporting the Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Undersea Warfare (USW) cybersecurity team.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing, implementing, and maintaining Windows and Linux servers/clients, PC desktops, network devices, and supported applications. Successful candidates will have a thorough understanding of the DCSA accreditation process under the Risk Management Framework (RMF), including guidance directives such as DoDI 8500.01, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, JSIG, and Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI) 1253.
As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), you will be responsible for systems security, continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, and system accreditation activities for multiple programs. You will require a strong background in continuous monitoring of system security controls, including vulnerability scanning and remediation using tools like Splunk and ACAS. You will also have experience with Splunk, including data analysis, visualization, configuration, and management, as well as experience with other security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
You will have experience with automation tools and scripting languages, such as Python or PowerShell, to automate security tasks and workflows. You will develop and maintain the Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) and other security-related documentation. Your responsibilities will include performing vulnerability management activities, including security scans and remediation, and applying information technology security principles to configure security settings.
You will consult on the design, development, integration, and analysis of classified computing systems with the programs and information systems security manager (ISSM). You will assist with self-inspection reviews and conduct comprehensive investigations of computer security incidents, coordinating with other organizations for expertise.
Basic Qualifications:
• Secret Clearance.
• DoD IAT Level II certification: CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security + CE, or SSCP is required before applying.
• Must have experience implementing NIST SP800-53 Security Controls, including evaluating and implementing STIGs using tools such as Evaluate-STIG, SCAP, Ansible, and PDQ, as well as experience with vulnerability management and remediation.
• Must have experience performing continuous monitoring of system security controls, including vulnerability scanning and remediation using tools such as Splunk and ACAS.
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and build and maintain effective team and customer relationships.
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions, and stay up-to-date with emerging threats and vulnerabilities and apply this knowledge to improve the organization's security posture.
Desired Skills:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
• Previous experience as an Information System Security Officer or Information System Security Manager, with a strong understanding of DoD Security Directives, Policies, Publications, and Regulations.
• Experience with SPLUNK, including data analysis, visualization, configuration and management, as well as experience with other security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages, such as Python or PowerShell, to automate security tasks and workflows.
• Experience with ePO, including managing and deploying endpoint security solutions.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
