Description:Design Process Engineer - XVE Backbone Process Owner
What You Will Be Doing
Design Process Integration (DPI) creates and maintains the policies and procedures used by engineering design throughout Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. DPI personnel are experts on engineering procedure, including release and documentation systems, and shape policy on the use and storage of that data. DPI creates training in the proper creation and use of the various documentation found in engineering design and maintains the command media which guide engineers throughout ADP, AMMM, IFG, and F-35 programs.
The selected candidate will work within Engineering and Technology – Process and Compliance as part of the Design Process Integration Team. The candidate will lead the Digital Transformation Siemens Xcelerator Backbone Agile Team as Process Owner. This position is based in Fort Worth or Palmdale but telecommuting part-time would be available after a training period and with manager concurrence.
The selected candidate for Process Owner will be responsible for the performance of the Backbone Agile Team, coordinating the implementation of Siemens Xcelerator for an ADP program, with configuration of the software performed by Siemens and Lockheed personnel in an Agile team. The Process Owner will coordinate with program leadership and the other Agile Teams to prioritize and implement the new Xcelerator capabilities across various testing environments and in the program secure environment. The Process Owner will be responsible for maintaining coordination with other Agile Teams and report progress and obstacles to leadership in the Agile Release Train.
Must be a US citizen. This position will require special access and will require a Secret security clearance prior to starting work.
The selected candidate will work within Engineering and Technology – Process and Compliance as part of the Design Process Integration Team. The candidate will coordinate testing of Build-To-Package (BTP) process development, process documentation, tool implementation and Product Level Feed Down (PLFD) for LM Aero’s Digital Transformation XVE implementation program. This position is based in Fort Worth or Palmdale, but telecommuting part- or full-time would be available after a training period.
The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the Xcelerator Verification Environment (XVE) Agile teams provide detailed, executable and applicable testing plans and then execute the testing in a timely fashion.
The selected candidate will track and report on the Agile groups’ testing status to the Agile Release Train management. Working with other members of the team, the selected candidate will review testing documentation for completeness, overlapping requirements and solutions and reuse opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in use or implementation of Product Lifecycle Management software such as Siemens TeamCenter or Xcelerator, Lockheed’s PDM or AeroSource, or Dassault’s 3DX in an Agile environment. Experience with similar systems another employer would be acceptable.
- Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 9 or more years relevant experience.
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer sciences and 10 or more years relevant experience
- Aircraft or support system design experience
- Design support or verification experience
- CAD and Product Lifecycle Management system use or system management (Siemens NX and Xcelerator preferred, Dassault Systemes Catia and/or 3DX acceptable)
- Project management experience
- Experience leading Agile Teams, especially using the SAFe Agile Framework
- Any experience using SAP, ALIS, or other Supply Chain, Sustainment, Production Operations or Business Systems used by LM Aero
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
