The Work
As a Maintenance General Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining and improving our facilities. Your hands-on work will directly support the safety, productivity, and comfort of our teams. Key responsibilities include:
Performing routine repairs and general maintenance for plant and/or office facilities and equipment.
Completing basic carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, plastic or sheet metal fabrication, or related facility work using hand and power tools.
Conducting inspections to identify, report, and proactively address maintenance needs.
Troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
Collaborating with fellow maintenance personnel and other departments to complete projects and solve facility challenges.
Maintaining accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, service schedules, and inventory tracking.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in general maintenance, facilities repair, or related trades
Working knowledge of carpentry, basic electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical repairs
Ability to read maintenance manuals and follow written instructions
Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Comfortable maintaining accurate records and work documentation

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
3+ years of experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field
Knowledge of maintenance principles, practices, and procedures
Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, as well as equipment and machinery
Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout and confined space entry
Desired Skills:
Experience working in a industrial or manufacturing environment
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
Certification in a trade, such as electrical, plumbing, or HVAC
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
