Description:

Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) team as an F-35 Aircraft Corrosion Subject Matter Expert. This position will be part of the Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) aircraft maintenance team supporting the F-35 aircraft maintenance operation at Volkel Airbase Netherlands. This is an Accompanied position that requires a passport prior to start.

What You Will Be Doing
This position requires the following:
• Services, repairs, and overhauls F-35 aircraft systems and substructure components to ensure airworthiness. Lead a diverse team of technicians in the identification and remediation efforts for Tier 2 corrosion following outlined guidance and engineering specifications.

• Work typically requires a detailed understanding of corrosion identification, remediation, and support for multinational teams. Perform such tasks as visual inspections, identification, low observable removal / installation, and remediation of affected structure / substructure as identified during the effort. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices, may provide technical guidance.

• Participate in the maintenance and logistics scheduling and execution. Develops solutions to complex problems concerning support to assigned site. This requisition supports the aircraft modification and heavy maintenance program supporting F-35 program requirements.

• Selected candidate will have experience with understanding technical requirements on fighter type aircraft. Candidate must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, structure repair manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes .
• Identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders.

• Coordinates Tier 2 corrosion execution with Aircraft Maintenance Managers. Works with maintenance supervision to ensure maintenance actions are completed on time. Maintains accurate aircraft status boards and performs other duties as directed by the Manager.

• Requires the application of experience and judgment in selecting procedures to be followed in searching for, interpreting, selecting, or coding items to be entered from ALIS and other related functions.

• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

• Must have a Secret Clearance prior to starting.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

• 6 years total F-35 aircraft experience with one or more of the following skills: Vehicle Systems/APG , Avionics or Low Observable Structures
• Must have at least 4 years of aircraft structures repair experience.
• Low Observable Coatings application
• Must have been previously awarded a 5 or 7 Skill level USAF AFSC, Navy NEC, or Marine MOS discipline rating or an equivalent Airframe and Power Plant, FAA certificate
• Experience developing work schedules for employees
• Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) experience
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates:

• Strong relationship building skills, focused on establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience with authoring Action Request (AR) for detailed structures repairs.
• Experience with Tool Control, FOD, Supply, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs.
• Fifth generation aircraft Crew Chief or Sheet Metal experience
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
• Experience with using F-35 engineering tools to include but not limited to PDM, VAS, CATIA
• Airframe & Power plant (A&P) license
• Experience working in customer environment and within partnered field locations
• Understanding of U.S Air Force, U.S. Navy, or U.S. Marine Corps Maintenance Practices Experience as a Maintenance Controller, Aircraft Production Supervisor, and/or Aircraft Flightline Expediter highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a flexible schedule environment
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
