About the Role
Join our dynamic team as a Hardware Engineer, where you'll help shape mission-critical radio frequency (RF) systems used in aerospace and defense operations. You'll collaborate with skilled professionals to design, build, install, and test cutting-edge hardware solutions supporting satellite ground systems.

What You’ll Do
• Design, assemble, and validate RF system hardware
• Build and integrate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment into racks and systems
• Develop and maintain rack elevation diagrams using AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio
• Interpret engineering drawings and follow detailed installation procedures
• Support system-level testing, verification, and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with engineering teams to refine hardware specifications and layout
• Travel to customer or field sites for installation and support, as needed (both within the continental United States and internationally)

Successful applicants will typically have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Radio Frequency (RF) Engineering, or a related engineering field and a minimum of 5+ years of experience or equivalent practical experience or technical training.

Basic Qualifications:
What You Bring:
• Experience supporting satellite ground hardware systems
• Strong understanding of subsystem design and hardware integration
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio for layout and documentation
• Ability to analyze and solve problems in a fast-paced, technical environment
• Comfortable following detailed engineering instructions and build guides
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally for hands-on system deployment

Security Clearance / Work Authorization:
• To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected applicant to be a U.S. Citizen
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required for consideration.
• Top Secret security clearance with adjudicated SCI (i.e. TS/SCI) is required prior to start.
Desired Skills:
Nice-to-Haves
• Background in chassis design, rack assembly, cable fabrication, and system cabling
• Familiarity with infrastructure requirements such as power, cooling, server, and network integration
• Understanding of production planning and hardware delivery timelines
• Experience using basic test equipment (e.g., multimeters) and interpreting AC/DC electrical circuits
• Hands-on skills in soldering, drilling, or mounting for cable and test assemblies
• Knowledge of maintenance area setup and shop safety protocols
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electronic system components
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
