Your Mission:
As a Network Engineer, you will be instrumental in implementing for an enterprise WAN solution: DarkStar! You will be responsible for the successful implementation, integration and support of a multi-site classified network with a variety of different locations and vendor hardware. Responsibilities include but not limited to configuration and management of Cisco switches and routers, Juniper and Palo Alto FW, General Dynamics Taclanes and support to system administration team in deployment of new sites. The Network Engineer will ensure the network, network systems are managed, controlled, & compliant with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF)Knowledge and familiarity with Storage Hardware and System configuration is desired.
Candidate must be comfortable working in environment supporting a large number of different platforms which range from enterprise servers to small/midsize servers and supercomputers. Candidate will be responsible for system installations, upgrades, configurations, hardware installation, and troubleshooting. Candidate will ultimately support the operations center for successful sustainment operations. Candidate must be willing to travel when required.

• Collaborate with the system administration team to deploy new sites and maintain network performance.

How about every other Friday off? This role is scoped on a 9x80 schedule! All work must be performed on-site in our secure facility in Huntsville, AL – and may include some occasional off-shift hours, weekends, and limited travel.
Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience configuring & deploying General Dynamics Taclanes
• Demonstrated experience with configuration and management of Cisco Routers and switches
• Demonstrated experience with tunneling implementation, troubleshooting
• Experience with Palo Alto and Juniper firewalls
• Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
• Experience with Cisco VoIP systems and architectures
• Tier 3 troubleshooting skills for both switch & router technologies
• Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly across organization boundaries
• Demonstrated experience to identify and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and colleagues to communicate requirements in a clear, precise and actionable manner
• Must be able to work with minimal assistance / guidance and be able to recommend process improvements
• Capable of building effective relationships with teams and subject matter experts
• DoD SECRET Clearance
• CompTIA Sec+
Desired Skills:
• Experience with network monitoring tools, including the use of SNMP, NetFlow and various telemetry tool
• Software-defined data center networking (e.g. Cisco ACI, VMware VSX, Big Switch Big Cloud Fabric, Arista Converged Cloud Fabric)
• Understanding of system architectures and multi-site connections
• Ansible, NETCONF, YANG, or other network automation tools experience / familiarity
• Experience implementing and sustaining Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Certificate Authorities (CAs)
• Working understanding of IPSEC VPN technology; implementation experience on at least one of the Cisco or Juniper product lines is strongly preferred
• Experience with NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC)
• Experience managing vendor relationships for break/fix, root cause analysis, escalations, and technology refresh
• Use of Linux & Windows operating systems for daily, network management tasks

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
