The Challenge:
Crave a challenge that is also rewarding? This is an operational support role to an active fighter unit; you will be responsible for the security and integrity of our systems that keep the F-35 flying. It takes more than steel, advanced electronics and engine thrust to make the F-35 Lightning II, the world's fifth generation fighter, take flight. It is the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) that gives F-35 Lightning II operators the ability to plan, to maintain, to plan and sustain its systems over the life of the air vehicle.

This role is the ALIS Squadron Asc Manager supporting F-35 Autonomic Logistics Information Systems (ALIS) operations for the United States Air Force (USAF) 48th Fighter Wing at RAF Lakenheath, UK. The position is based 25 miles north of Cambridge, UK.

The ALIS Asc Manager will be responsible to act as the squadron-level customer liaison. This position will be responsible for a team of 15 ALIS Admin expatriates and have operational oversite of 2 operational squadrons and 4 OBKs and more than 150 peripherals.

The ALIS Asc Manager coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organizing, control, integration and completion of administrative tasking. He or she is responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. He or she assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project, coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, oversees scheduling, and works with the team to troubleshoot problems.

In addition, the candidate who fills the role will roll up their sleeves and act as an ALIS Systems Admin SME as well. There is an expectation that this person will support the Network, Systems and Database Administrators and be able to speak with the customer about technical issues related to ALIS. As a SME, the ALIS Squadron Asc Manager will leverage their technical knowledge to help the customer resolve issues in a timely manner and to provide ongoing training and support to the US Airmen in the use of the ALIS system.

The successful candidate will be a natural leader and an excellent communicator, able to establish priorities, balance the need of customers, leaders and subordinates and able to handle stressful situations.

This position requires a two year minimum commitment to expatriate to the UK. The is also deployment leadership which will require additional travel to offsite locations to support operations.

The position requires the employee to obtain a UK work visa.

This position requires the employee to hold a DoD Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance with a reinvestigation in the last 6 years.

The employee must be able to obtain and maintain an F-35 program clearance. The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
o Candidates must have a Secret security
clearance with investigation within the last 6
years

o Ability to obtain and retain DoD IAT Level II
certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA)

o 12 years combination of
system/Database/Network experience

o 3 years ALIS administration experience

o 3 years leadership experience

o Prior leadership and people management, to
include employee recruitment/retention,
selection & training, performance assessment,
work assignment, salary, recognition/disciplinary
actions, & career development

o Project Management experience

o Strong business acumen, influence
management and whole systems thinking skills

o Experience Troubleshooting Web Applications

o JBOSS (WildFly) Application Server Familiarity

o Disaster recovery: backups and restores of
physical servers, virtual machines, databases
and network equipment

o Virtual Machine Management Service (Hyper-V
/ VmWare)

o Knowledge of spanning technology in switches

o Applying updates, anti-virus/anti-spyware
updates, and patch updates

o Use of Splunk Log Aggregation and Dashboard

o Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administrator

o Installing Oracle Critical Patches, reviewing
tables and DBA views for issues, and locating
user session data

o Importing large data volumes and managing
large Oracle and SQLServer databases

o Prior Control Account Manager (CAM)
experience

o Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and
processes, to include the JSF ALIS hardware and
software
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
