Job Responsibilities
Description:We are looking for a Level 4 Staff Tool Engineer to join our First Shift team, bringing advanced expertise in tooling processes, design, and manufacturing planning. In this role, you’ll leverage your background in tool design releases and product data management to drive accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across critical programs. You’ll serve as a key leader in configuration management, act as a trusted IMPACTS Administrator and Super User, and partner directly with a represented workforce to ensure seamless execution of complex tooling requirements. This position offers the opportunity to apply your technical depth and leadership skills in a high-impact environment, supporting mission-critical operations while upholding the highest engineering and security standards.
This position will be responsible for:
-Release of Vendor Tool Designs into PDM/CaddataNet for the tooling organization.
-Tool Design coordination of backlog and status of TD Task.
-Maintenance of team metrics; creating and providing reports; and serving as Sharepoint, Live-Link, and server Administrator for Tool Engineering organization.
-Working with Tooling supplier base.
-Working tooling projects and collaborating with other organizations (engineering, production, and other key stakeholders) at all Aeronautics sites.
-Root cause analysis.
-Serving as Super User and Administrator for IMPACTS tool order system.
-Interfacing with interns to provide guidance on projects.
-Researching and working with other teams in order to close iCARs and CAR audit findings.
Occasional domestic travel is required.

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in Tooling processes, Tool Design, and/or Tool Manufacturing Planning.
-Experience with PDM related to Tool Design Releases.
-Experience as IMPACTS Administrator and Super User.
-Experience as Configuration Manager for Tools and Engineering.
-Experience working directly with the represented/union workforce.
-Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance per business requirements
Desired Skills:
-Bachelors degree with 9 plus years of experience OR 13 plus years in lieu of Degree
- Experience reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and documents.
- Experience reading, defining, and communicating geometrical aspects of complex models.
- Experience working conceptualization, design, and fabrication of special tooling.
- Knowledge of fabrication and assembly processes, as well as applicable tool manufacturing methods.
-Experience with Tool Manufacturing Integration.
-Experience with creating and managing Tool Planning.
-Experience with validating supplier tool designs for release.
-Experience with CAPPS, MAXIMO, SAP, PDM and SFM, QADs, VAS, ICA.
- Experience with CATIA v5.
- Experience in Continuous Improvement Activities.
- Ability to make timely and sound decisions while understanding the financial impacts of decisions.
- Experience creating and making presentations to cross organizational leadership.
- Familiarity with F-35 and F16 airframe, aircraft systems, and subsystems.
- Experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
- Experience working with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Experience with SAP/ERP/MRP.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
