Description:What You Will Be Doing:
You will be accountable for overall engineering technical, cost, and schedule performance for F-16 engineering efforts within the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) across multiple programs, major program segments, and strategic engineering initiatives, while leading and developing a small team of Project Engineers responsible for execution across critical program areas.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Serve as a primary technical operations interface to Program Management, senior leadership, and customers, ensuring alignment across programmatic, technical, and business objectives.

- Define and drive engineering execution strategy, ensuring requirements baselines are established, maintained, and verified, and that technical performance is measured and managed through EVM, TPMs, and integrated program metrics.

- Lead the identification, resolution, and closure of highly complex and systemic technical issues, often spanning multiple programs or organizations, while ensuring alignment with Modern Engineering practices and enterprise standards.

- Operate with a high degree of autonomy, influencing technical direction, staffing strategies, and execution approaches across first-line and functional leadership.

- Serve as a senior technical authority, providing consultation to leadership in long-range planning, capability development, and customer engagements, and may assume responsibilities aligned with Chief Engineer or Chief Architect roles where required.

- Own engineering performance across multi-program portfolios or highly complex program segments, ensuring alignment to technical, cost, schedule, and business objectives.

- Serve as the primary technical advisor to Program Management and senior leadership, influencing decisions impacting program execution, technical baselines, and customer commitments.

- Lead resolution of unusually complex and sensitive technical and programmatic issues, determining and executing courses of action critical to program success.

- Drive enterprise-level integration, ensuring coordination across engineering disciplines, suppliers, production, and support organizations.

- Establish and maintain technical baselines, including requirements traceability, verification, and performance tracking through TPMs and EVM metrics.

- Anticipate and mitigate cross-program risks, including technical, cost, schedule, and staffing risks, with a forward-looking, long-range perspective.

- Develop and influence engineering staffing strategies, working with functional leadership to secure and align resources to program needs.

- Shape and support proposal development and business capture efforts, including technical strategy, staffing, and execution planning.

- Ensure adherence to organizational processes and Modern Engineering practices, while driving improvements based on lessons learned and best practices.

- Act as a liaison to external customers and stakeholders, representing engineering on significant technical and programmatic matters.

- Mentor senior project engineers and emerging leaders, strengthening organizational capability and technical leadership.

- Some travel will be required (foreign and/or domestic) for this role.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.

• 12+ years of relevant engineering experience, including leadership of complex engineering programs or major program elements.

• Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), ETC tracking, and program performance metrics.

• Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex, integrated engineering environments.

• Experience interfacing with Program Management and/or customers on technical execution.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Extensive experience with F-16 or similar tactical aircraft systems and integration environments.

• Demonstrated ability to operate at a program-of-programs or enterprise level.

• Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience or equivalent financial accountability.

• Experience serving as a technical authority, Chief Engineer, or equivalent role on complex efforts.

• Experience with proposal development, capture strategy, and customer engagement.

• Experience with Agile planning and execution in large-scale engineering programs.

• Experience with JIRA, Tableau, Confluence, or similar tools for execution and performance tracking.

• Strong understanding of systems integration, requirements management, and technical baseline control.

• Proven ability to influence across organizations and at senior leadership levels.

• Strong leadership, communication, and executive briefing skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
