Description:What You Will Be Doing:
LM Aero’s Digital Sustainment & Analytics (DSA) team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive data architecture, ensuring that it is aligned with the organization’s current and future business goals and objectives. The Data Architect will play a key role in developing and maintaining a robust, scalable, and secure data environment that supports business intelligence, analytics, and data-driven decision-making.
Reporting to the Digital Sustainment & Analytics (DSA) Director, the selected candidate will forge close partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, peers, architects, customers, and leaders across Sustainment Operations (SO), Sustainment Integration Offices (IOs), the Program Management Offices (PMOs), Capability Delivery System (CDS) Directorates, Digital Transformation Office/1LMX professionals, Information Technology (IT) and Enterprise Ops engineers, as well as other LM Aero organizations to lead and/or set the necessary sustainment data strategy, roadmaps, architecture, design, performance metrics, and technical baseline/implementation/integration approach(es) of the Sustainment Operations strategic data framework, Digital Transformation-level data strategies, and Sustainment modeling ecosystem.
The Data Architect will be responsible for maintaining knowledge of current and developing data framework/ecosystem technologies, design, and analysis methodologies to achieve alignment across the F-35, Integrated Fighter Group (IFG), AMMM, and ADP platforms for Sustainment.
The Data Architect will be accountable to execute against established technical requirements and within cost and schedule constraints including, but not limited to, the following key activities:
* Setting the architecture and data governance roadmap for Sustainment Digital Transformation
* Support sustainment functions by establishing data governance guidelines and metrics, assists with requirements definition/development, data strategies, interface definitions, and design reviews.
* Apply best practices for data architectures, models and technical artifacts and continuously improve data solutions. Collaborate with Product line owners, and data architects. In alignment with Enterprise Data Ecosystem, builds a Sustainment Data Governance Plan, including assignment of data stewards.
* Develop/Propose advanced data architecture strategies and roadmaps that leverage or mature the sustainment data architecture and are aligned with the sustainment architecture roadmap and new business strategies
* Uncovering and resolving technical / data issues associated with the development and implementation of external data/system accesses, the sustainment modeling ecosystem, and other key Digital Transformation projects while focusing on accomplishing long-range objectives.
* Serving as the top data consultant to executive management in long-range planning concerning new or projected areas of technical research and advancements.
* Identify and implement areas of process improvements for program policies and procedures
* Provide weekly status reports to executive management
This position will have a direct relationship with the customer and will frequently engage with various program stakeholders across the enterprise.

Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college in a related data discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
* Experience with large scale data architecture, data engineering, API design, data framework generation, and/or modeling and simulation.
* Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling, and data governance
* Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, data governance / metadata management, data integration and interoperability, and big data technologies
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
* Knowledge of data science and machine learning concepts
* Proven development of information which extends knowledge in the Data Architecture field which formed the basis of newly developed concepts, theories, and products.
* Outstanding knowledge of and demonstrated ability surrounding data systems architecture and/or software engineering, logistics IT, and/or the DevSecOps lifecycle/processes.
* Ability to shape future growth, set strategy, and deploy across a large team.
* Able to obtain a SECRET/SAR clearance
Desired Skills:
* Working knowledge of fifth generation fighter sortie generation lifecycle maintenance, supply, and mission planning/debrief processes.
* Proficiency in data modeling tools (e.g. ERwin, PowerDesigner)
* Experience with data pipeline and workflow tools (e.g. Apache NiFi, Apache Beam)
* Strong understanding of data security and data privacy principles
* Experience with containerization (e.g. Docker) and orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)
* Certification in data architecture or related field (e.g. TOGAF, Data Architecture Certification)
* Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.
* Proven leadership of high performing teams and leading change in the organization.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
