The Work
The Project Engineer IV partners with the Networks and Enterprise Services (NES) Agile Release Train Engineering Manager to plan, execute, and coordinate complex, multi‑disciplinary engineering projects. Responsibilities include driving agile ceremonies, managing cost, schedule, and performance through EVMS tools, overseeing system integration, and ensuring compliance with program requirements, DCMA audits, and fiscal policies. The role actively mitigates risks, leads design‑review sessions, and supports proposal development and engineering change estimates, while presenting technical and programmatic updates to senior leadership, stakeholders, and customers.

Basic Qualifications:
- An Active Final Secret security clearance is required prior to starting
- Experience managing large‑scale, systems‑engineered projects in a defense or aerospace environment.
- Proven ability to execute Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and data management using established Agile tools.
- Hands‑on experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tools for cost, schedule, and performance tracking.
- Demonstrated competence in risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution.
- Experience conducting product design reviews and ensuring compliance with engineering standards, contract requirements, and customer specifications.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; able to prepare and present technical/programmatic briefings to senior leadership and customers.
- Ability to facilitate DCMA audits, baseline reviews, and fiscal compliance processes.
Desired Skills:
- A TS clearance is a plus
- Agile & Project Management Certifications – Certified Scrum Master, PMI‑ACP, or comparable Agile certification; active PMP® certification preferred.
- Network Engineering Expertise – Architecture design, LAN/WAN implementation, SDN, routing & switching protocols, performance monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Broad IT Knowledge – Systems administration, cloud/virtualization platforms, cybersecurity fundamentals (risk assessment, secure architecture, threat detection, incident response).
- Understanding of the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications program and its role in missile‑defense operations.
- Prior role leading cross‑functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- CAM/EVM Proficiency – Working knowledge of Lockheed Martin CAM/CAM Analyst processes (CPS‑070, PPMD) and PPMP; recent CAM/EVM training or willingness to complete within six months of hire.
- EVM Implementation on Agile Programs – Experience integrating Earned Value Management within an Agile development environment.
- Ability to perform data analysis for engineering estimates, change proposals, and cost forecasting.
- Proven track record of tight coordination with multiple stakeholders across ARTs and program entities.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
