What does this role look like?

Lockheed Martin is looking for an Interactive Media Developer to support Digital Capability efforts across the FBM portfolio of Interactive Technical Manuals, Work Instructions, and Documentation as a whole.

The Interactive Media Developer will create accurate 2D and 3D representations of support equipment, vehicles, and the warfighter to simulate instructions and procedures used in operations, maintenance, and assembly.

In this role will offer you the following daily key responsibilities:

You will have responsibility for developing and deploying digital content through AR/VR, tablet, and other hardware.

You will work with our multimedia and documentation teams to evolve our processes and documentation to include digital media development such as, but not limited to, 3D models, video, animation, and other interactive media.

Furthermore, you will:

• Design and develop multimedia applications, systems, and products involving computer graphics and interactive computing
• Create engaging graphics and other digital content using multiple media types, such as animations, text, and sound
• Proven graphic design skills with strong attention to detail/aesthetics.

Although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Cape Canaveral SFS, FL, and be expected to work in the office as needed
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Ability to program in Unity
• Ability to model out environments and textures for 3D models
• Ability to create 3D lighting rigs for environments.
• Strong 2D graphics experience
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, including to non-technical personnel.
• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
• Ability to work autonomously in dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Strong skills with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite of tools e.g. Photoshop, Captivate, Animate, Illustrator, etc.
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Ability to program in Unreal Engine, Vuforia and C# if required
• Experience working in AR/VR environments - understanding of design principles for immersive virtual environments
• Understanding of Unity performance profiling and optimization techniques
• Experience with Digital Work Instructions

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
