Description:Lockheed Martin Precision Fires GMLRS program is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a position in Camden, AR.

Camden is a city in southern Arkansas. Camden is located on the Ouachita River, at the end of the navigable river. Camden is about a two hour drive south from Little Rock, AR. Camden is part of the Timberlands region of Arkansas. Timber, Oil, Deer Hunting, Bass fishing... These are words commonly used when people talk about the Timberlands of Arkansas. It's a region with rich natural resources that was discovered by pioneers from the eastern United States in the early 1800s. The abundant natural resources of the Timberlands are still attracting people today. Visitors enjoy the legacy of those pioneers by visiting sites ranging from 1800s log cabins and restored Victorian homes to local museums and colorful murals that tell the history of this land. Communities within an hour or two from Camden include Texarkana, Hot Springs AR, and Shreveport, LA.

-Provides day-to-day engineering support production shop floor
-Plans and improves manufacturing procedures and operations to make the production more reliable, efficient and cost-effective
-Captures current work flow, as well as information flow, of the facility and managing to integrate digital tools to improve productivity and reduce waste
-Assists in the implementation of new or improves processes and selection of equipment. Provides research support for optimal tools for machines.
-Resolves issues regarding the design, manufacturing, or building sequences. Ensures production part acceptance and manufacturing readiness
-Participates in the adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
-Designs manufacturing processes procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
-Embraces emerging technologies to identify potential opportunities for production digitalization.
-Analyze the feature and requirements of designed 3D products; determines and utilizes required CAD software to create digital blueprints accordingly.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience/combine education.
- 2 Years experience in a Manufacturing setting.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools and machines.
- Knowledgeable of Assembly Manufacturing Processes
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite.
- Proficient in the use of 3D CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA or equivalent)
- Ability to work 2nd Shift 8:00pm - 6:30am.
Desired Skills:
-Promoting safety practices on the shop floor and eliminating safety risk
-Troubleshooting production issues using failure mode effects and analysis (FMEA), root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions (RC/CA)
-Implementing continuous improvement projects using 6S and Lean manufacturing techniques
-Customer service skills to communicate to the shop floor and train operators
-Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions and Bill of Materials (BoM)
-Interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications including Geometric and Dimensional Tolerances (GD&T)
-Incorporating configuration changes on existing procedures and verifying alignment with engineering requirements
-Designing new tools and maintaining existing tooling/equipment
-Project management experience in writing a business case, developing estimates, reporting schedule, and coordinating task between multiple functions.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
