We are seeking an experienced and innovative Chief DevSecOp Architect to lead the design and implementation of our DevSecOps strategy, architecture, and practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security, integrity, and compliance of our software development lifecycle, from code creation to deployment. As a key member of our technical leadership team, the Chief DevSecOp Architect will collaborate across portfolio teams to develop and implement a comprehensive DevSecOps framework that balances security, agility, and innovation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
*Develop and implement DevSecOps strategy**: Define and execute a comprehensive DevSecOps strategy that utilizes AI to integrate security, compliance, and governance into the software development lifecycle.
*Design and architect secure software development pipelines**: Create and maintain secure, automated, and scalable pipelines that leverage AI to improve code quality, security, and deployment efficiency.
*Lead security and compliance initiatives**: Collaborate with security, compliance, and software development teams to ensure that security and compliance requirements are integrated into the DevSecOps framework.
*Design, Construction, and Maintenance of Software Development Process using Agentic AI: Design and continuously improve a software development process that leverages Agentic AI to improve the efficiency and effectiveness software development. This includes:
• Agentic AI-powered requirements gathering
• Agentic AI-powered design and architecture
• Agentic AI-powered development and testing
• Agentic AI-powered deployment and maintenance
*Partner with our major 1LMX software providers (SAP, Dassault, Cognitus, Deltek and others) to influence their product roadmap to support our DevSecOps powered by AI Strategy.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Recognized as an LM Fellow
- DevSecOps expertise: 8+ years of experience in DevSecOps and automation technologies
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
- Security frameworks: NIST, OWASP, PCI-DSS
- Programming languages: Java, Python, C++
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab
- Agentic AI: Experience with Agentic AI, including design, construction, and maintenance of software development processes using Agentic AI
- Experience with large COTS architectures like ERP, MES and PLM
- US Citizenship required for this role
Desired Skills:
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- AI and ML experience
- Containerization: Containerization Platforms such as OpenShift and other Kubernetes variants.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, DevSecOps certifications
- Cloud security: AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform and Ansible

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $181,400 - $314,525. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $157,800 - $278,185. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
