Welcome to Brevard County, known as Florida's Space Coast! Home to the world-renowned Kennedy Space Center, where the United States launched its first rockets and manned missions, and where private industry continues the nation's rich tradition of space exploration. The Naval Ordinance Test Unit, based right here in Brevard, tests the SSBN Trident II D5 missile system far off the Atlantic coast.

With 108 parks, three campgrounds, three golf courses, six nature centers, 42 beaches, 13 school athletics sites, and over 17,000 acres of environmentally endangered lands, sanctuaries, and conservation areas, Brevard is a nature lover's paradise.

There's no shortage of things to do in Brevard County, with popular tourist destinations including the Brevard Zoo, Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge, Canaveral National Seashore, and of course, Kennedy Space Center. From golfing and airboat rides to cultural events and theater, there's something for everyone here.
