Hypersonics
Lockheed Martin's Courtland facility in Alabama is leading the way in hypersonic technologies. They're developing and producing critical components and systems, such as the Hypersonic Strike Weapon and the Common Hypersonic Glide Body, to provide the military with faster, more precise weapons systems. The facility is staffed by a highly skilled and dedicated workforce committed to advancing hypersonic technologies.
Apprenticeship Programs
Our facility in Courtland is home to our space Advanced Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Program (AMTAP) program, a US DoL registered apprenticeship. This program trains candidates on the skills to build electronics and prepares them for space operations. Program graduates earn a nationally recognized credential and have an opportunity for full-time employment.

The Next Generation Interceptor is a tip-to-tail missile defense system developed by the Missile Defense Agency.
