Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Ocala, Florida Operations facility is a 393,000-square-foot system assembly and high-rate production site. Approximately 950 employees manufacture assemblies for numerous Lockheed Martin products, including sensors for aircraft fire control systems, missile and vehicle electronic and cabling assemblies, and missile seeker and guidance sections.

Product Lines

Sensor fire control systems that are assembled include:

• F-35 Lightning II Electro-Optical Targeting System (EOTS)
• Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod
• Apache Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (M-TADS/PNVS)
• TSS fire control system
• Gyrocam sensor systems

Missile systems include cruise missiles like the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM), close-combat weapons like the Javelin Anti-armor Missile, Precision Fires systems such as the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS), and air and missile defense systems such as the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Weapon System and Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) missile.

Industry Awards

In November 2012, the Ocala Operations facility was one of eleven MFC facilities selected as a recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for performance excellence and quality achievement. It was named one of IndustryWeek magazine's "Top 10 Best Plants of North America" in 2007, and Manufacturer of the Year by the Manufacturers' Association of Florida's in 2008. It received the James S. Cogswell Award for Superior Industrial Security in both 2006 and 2014.
