Senior Accountant

Description:The overall responsibility for this position is provide support for the day-to-day operational oversight of the accounting function as well perform certain functions within the accounting and finance department of Associated Aircraft Group (“AAG”). This position will interact with a multitude of departments within AAG including M&R, Flight Operations and other support teams; as well as CSS Finance and other departments within Lockheed Martin. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, communication, computer, and time management skills, be team oriented, and have a strong work ethic.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in managing general accounting processes and ensuring timelines are met.
• Assist in preparing, reviewing, and ensuring integrity of financial statements.
• Prepare proper reconciliation of general ledger accounts and assist in the month-end accounting closing process.
• Assist in monitoring various corporate accounting policies and procedures.
• Help maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions and assure internal control compliance.
• Manage and perform accounts receivable and collection activities.
• Prepare and review monthly statements for company clients which include sophisticated companies and high net worth individuals.
• Review M&R work orders ensuring completeness, complete and accurate accounting for all related expenses, and proper amounts are charged to customers.
• Drive and embrace the AAG finance process improvement initiatives, which includes automating key processes, creating / maintaining standard work.
• Prepare analysis of financial results and financial statement line items.
Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to perform multiple activities simultaneously, accurately, and timely.
• Must possess and demonstrate ability to work as a team with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, assume ownership, and drive projects and issues to completion
• Demonstrates strong analytical skills
• Experience with ERP systems – Sage 100 a plus.
• Strong computer skills including a proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Oracle Hyperion.
