Description:Requires certified proficiency of welding in at least three groups: carbon and alloy steel,
corrosion resistant and heat resistant alloys, aluminum alloys, using the following
methods: gas (oxygen acetylene), metal arc with coated electrode, inert-gas shielded
tungsten arc, inert-gas shielded arc with consumable electrode on various metals, and
metal alloys where welding characteristics are relatively unknown, and specifications are
not fully established.
WORK PERFORMED
Plan sequence and determine technique for welding parts and complete assemblies. Use
shop mathematics as required for layout from blueprints, or when complete information or
tooling is unavailable.
Set up parts and assemblies prior to welding, in accordance with Company requirements,
customer specifications and shop practices. Use any necessary procedure of gas, inert
gas-arc, electric arc process in welding metals and metal alloys.
Perform welding on various surfaces including overhead, horizontal, vertical and circular,
working to the most rigid specifications.
Weld utilizing two or more processes, parts and assemblies as; those of light and heavy
gauge material, those having areas difficult of access, those subject to high pressure or
stress, those where extreme care must be exercised to prevent leaks and cracks, and
those which are to be machined to exacting tolerance and overall penetration must be
uniform. Perform rework as required.
With a minimum amount of training must be able to be certified in manual metal arc
welding overhead and vertical unlimited thickness.
Stamp work produced for identification purposes. Work with or assist technicians in other
fields of specialization as required by performing work up to the level of difficulty described
herein.
Perform soft soldering and brazing as required.

Desired Skills:
Ability to apply basic shop mathematics.
Knowledge of basic shop equipment used for forming, fabrication and other precision
measuring devices.
Ability to work at various heights on access stands (gantries), service towers, high lifts,
etc.
Basic knowledge of and ability to use computer systems.
Abilty to obtain and maintain a top secret clearance.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week

The base range for this position in California is $28.46 -$52.31.

The wage range and benefits summary is a general guideline and is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
