Description:Manage a team of commercial field service representatives supporting several hundred aircraft in a geographic region. Field service is a 24/7 operation with high demands on the team for responsiveness and technical savvy. The candidate will be expected to provide leadership to the team as well as in-depth technical guidance to individuals and operators alike. Responsible for arranging sufficient coverage, maintaining contracts for non-employees, ex/repatriation of salary employees, recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Position may require relocation abroad to support global team in addition to extensive travel.

Responsibilities of the candidate and direct staff include:
Handling complex customer relationships concerned with technical service problems of operation, maintenance, and overhaul of Sikorsky helicopters. Analyzing and recommending corrective action for all malfunctions or failures of the aircraft or equipment including those of the airframe, engine components, gearboxes, blades, electrical/electronic units, etc. Determining causes of the malfunctioning, excessively worn, or failed parts by reviewing maintenance and inspection criteria and assessing operating conditions that may be affecting such causes. Reporting problems and flight characteristics symptomatic of the design defects or improper operating procedures affecting flight safety possible grounding of aircraft. Assisting customers by interpreting and clarifying instructions, publications or other technical data issued to the customer and by obtaining all requested information on engineering problems. Observing customer operating and maintenance procedures and making recommendations for improvements. Conducting special inspections or tests and instructing operators in the proper methods of conducting inspections. Assisting operators to keep up with current modifications and advising operators as to the interchangeability of parts. Submitting detailed reports to the Sikorsky Manager on all problems including a weekly, monthly and quarterly report on general situation at the assigned facility. Providing on-the-job training to maintenance personnel covering organizational and intermediate levels of maintenance and operations, operational checkout, systems analysis, and system/subsystem replacement/adjustment/servicing related to Sikorsky products. Supporting supply chain, ITC, platform/programs, and business development on an as-needed basis. Providing aircraft status, total airframe time, locations, compliance data and all other pertinent information that Sikorsky engineering, analytics, or programs may request. This information will be submitted to Sikorsky proprietary data systems.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equiv
10 years of experience maintaining or directly supporting both S-76 and S-92 aircraft
5 Years min experience as a Sikorsky FSR
5 Years min experience in a management role
A&P License
Desired Skills:
Master's degree
Experience with S-70 and other Sikorsky platforms
Familiarity with Sikorsky engineering systems and processes
