THE WORK
As a Proposal Manager for the Commercial Aircraft Sub-Market segment, you will develop and deliver quick‑turn aircraft production proposals for the Sikorsky commercial S‑76 and S‑92 product lines.
Additional specific responsibilities will include:
• Coordinate cross‑functional inputs (Material Cost Estimating, Supply Chain, Program Planning, Finance, Contracts, and Programs) to verify compliance and timely receipt of data for pricing and schedule commitments.
• Partner with Enterprise Performance, Business Development, and the Program Management Office to execute Risk‑Based Assessments (RBAs), Independent Non‑Advocate Reviews (INARs), and provide inputs for Enterprise Planning Panel (EPP) activities.
• Continuously assess and refine the capture‑to‑proposal process, ensuring adherence to all internal policies and external regulatory requirements while driving efficiency gains.
• Serve as the primary liaison for the program management team after contract award, facilitating a smooth and effective transition from capture activities to execution and delivery.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date repository of pricing models, cost drivers, and market intelligence to support future proposal cycles.
• Track proposal milestones, risks, and mitigation actions, reporting status to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and promote best‑practice knowledge sharing across the capture organization.

You are a seasoned Proposal Manager with proven expertise in the Proposal process including establishing and managing proposal schedules and meeting key milestones, deadlines and deliverables. You possess significant experience in the aerospace industry and a deep understanding of working with diverse proposal teams under time pressures and competing priorities while consistently meeting submittal deadlines. You embody Full Spectrum Leadership, demonstrating a strong ethical compass, and are committed to fostering a high-performance culture.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education
Prior proposal experience leading competitive proposal efforts with thorough PTW analysis & scenario modeling
Experience leading cross-functional teams
Experience developing capture & proposal execution strategies
Desired Skills:
Experience interfacing with executive level management teams
Program management and/or functional experience in the commercial aircraft environment
Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a proposal/capture lead
Team leadership, motivational and interpersonal skills requiring minimal direction
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
