Electronics/Test Engineering Intern - Troy, AL

Description:Candidates will develop hands-on Production Engineering skills used to support the manufacture of military missile systems; the skills may include: ordnance handling, mechanical assembly, electronic testing, factory automation, industrial processes, technical writing, teaming and continuous improvement techniques. Candidates will learn how to read and interpret engineering drawings & specifications to develop manufacturing processes, special tooling, and unique factory equipment; they will utilize software systems to develop manufacturing work instruction, analyze data, support test troubleshooting, and design/document process flows. Investigate root cause of failures/defects and implement preventative/corrective actions to support continuous improvement. Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.

Working Monday-Thursday - less than 20 hours
Student will work with manager to set a schedule.
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled at Troy University pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering Technology - Troy, Alabama

Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
Minimum 3.0 GPA

Applied knowledge of manufacturing assembly and test methods, industrial processes, factory automation, software programming, electrical troubleshooting, technical writing, and teaming.

Strong written & verbal communication skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
