This is an exciting leadership opportunity to work on the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program (FBM), a 65-year-old Program with a long-standing history of Mission Success and of a strong partnership with our Navy Customer!

As the new Systems Engineering Associate Manager you will be responsible for the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Evaluation programs. You will lead a group of engineers that oversees the testing of components of the Trident-II D5 missile. The Evaluation team is responsible for ensuring the Trident-II D5 missile subsystems and components tests are performed properly and documented. You will lead a team that works with the missile subsystem engineers, test engineers and the Navy customer counterparts to resolve test anomalies. You will track test schedules and budgets, and review test reports. This leader will also schedule assignments, perform performance reviews, and make sure their team is complying with training requirements. You will be responsible for all technical and programmatic (cost, schedule, staffing) aspects of the Evaluation programs.

- Evaluations programs include Service Life Evaluation (SLE), Production Assessment Test (PAT) and Destruct System Evaluation Program (DSEP)


ADDITIONAL LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Program What-ifs/New Programs Planning & ROMs Budgetary Estimates

- FBM Program/Project Proposals including Basis-Of-Estimate (BOE) generation

- Employee management and evaluation

You will be responsible for all technical and programmatic (cost, schedule, staffing) aspects of the activities listed above.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited college and/or equivalent job experience.
• Project lead experience to include: planning, proposals, budgets and/or schedules.
• Experience in Test Engineering, Test Operations and/or Systems Engineering
• Experience working with multiple Customer organizations and their contractors, principles and business processes
• Experience in full project lifecycle management to include planning, comprehensive basis of estimates (BOEs) for proposals, and managing organizational budgets and schedules
• Willingness to learn and understand missile and/or component level testing.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Project and Power Point applications.
• Ability to work with team members with diverse backgrounds and across multiple organizations
• Ability to travel 25% or more of the time
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and social skills.
• Experience in a leadership position with formal roles and responsibilities.
• Experience with direct customer, management, peer and subordinate interaction resulting in positive outcomes while representing the role and company are highly desirable.
• Experience generating Basis-Of Estimates (BOEs) and providing proposal support.
• Knowledgeable in missile technologies including, but not limited to, missile systems/sub-system architecture and design.
• Knowledge of the Trident II (D5) FBM Program
• Experience with Navy SSP customer and associated contractors
• Experience with package or component test experience
• Experience with environmental test labs
• Experience with Cost Account Management
Typical minimums: Bachelors degree with 9 years of professional experience; Masters degree with 7 years of professional experience; or Ph.D. degree with 4 years of professional experience (all from accredited colleges).
