Description:IAM Hourly represented employees who currently work at the main (Sunnyvale/Palo Alto) unit, Santa Cruz, Vandenburg Air Force Base or Eastern Range facilities must apply to open requisitions on Brass Ring to be considered for the position.

Fabricate, visually verify and rework all varieties and complexities of electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies for engineering development, qualification and production purposes. Perform operations such as component lead forming, soldering, trimming, flux removal, wire wrap, wire routing and securing wires, and related
mechanical assembly of electrical chassis.
Work from schematics, blueprint wiring lists, engineering sketches, and other
information Integrate planning documentation, specification requirements and design
changes into the process of building electronic equipment. Use best shop practice and
available sources of information to determine sequence rework of operations.

Perform operations verification checks including electrical continuity, resistance, in-process checks, and other operator verifications as required.

Perform all necessary encapsulation operations, such as bonding, filleting, priming,
conformal coating, embedding, and impregnating missile assemblies.

Recommend improvements to product and process quality, cost efficiency, and to the
improvement of tooling and other factors affecting quality and productivity in the
workplace.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be certified in one-touch solder and solder inspection. Certification may be required in all other skills necessary to manufacture electronic assemblies including operations verification of in-process and completed stages of sub-assemblies and assemblies of flight and non-flight hardware.

Must possess a thorough understanding of and the ability to utilize Manufacturing and
Product Assurance Process Standards, specification requirements, rejection
documentation, waivers and operations inspection requirements to manufacture
acceptable hardware. Must be able to read and understand Ordnance Development
specifications, weapon specifications, Design Standards and other related requirements.

Must be able to calculate and measure using shop mathematics, including fractions and
decimals. Must be able to perform critical alignment requirements and to validate installation. Use all the tools, equipment and facilities necessary to perform assigned tasks.

Must be familiar with all applicable electronics fabrication, tooling, equipment, hand and
measurement tools, such as gauges.
Must show proficiency in reading comprehension as well as ability to follow instructions and to report progress on work assignments.

Normally requires a minimum of five years directly related experience. Qualification for this classification will require the successful completion of a practical demonstration of the work performed in the classification.
Desired Skills:
Must have Cable Harness Fabrication experience and be able to obtain a Cable Harness Certification. Certification may be required in all other skills necessary to manufacture electronic assemblies including operations verification of in-process and completed stages of sub-assemblies and assemblies of non-flight hardware, this includes a Solder Certification. Must possess a thorough understanding of and the ability to utilize Manufacturing and Product Assurance Process Standards, specification requirements. Must be able to read and comprehend documentation; ie: Drawings, Parts List and Wirelist. Use all the tools, equipment and facilities necessary to perform assigned tasks.
Must be familiar with all applicable electronics fabrication, tooling, equipment, hand and
measurement tools, such as gauges & crimp tools. Must be able to calculate and measure using shop mathematics, including fractions and
decimals.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week

The base range for this position in California is $25.35 - $43.20.

The wage range and benefits summary is a general guideline and is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
