Lockheed Martin is looking for a hardworking Systems/Test Engineer to join the Intersegment System Test (IST) team within the Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) organization. In this role you will lead the IST team to plan and execute tests to verify successful on-orbit satellite performance.

As a Systems/Test Engineer, you will:
• Execute test activities including payload radiometrics, payload crosslink characterization, satellite and ground terminal rekey, antenna pointing calibration, ground system command and control, and ground terminal acquisition and logon.
• Coordinate with external customers and sub-contractors and lead teams as appropriate
• Review and analyze telemetry and test data, ensuring generated data accurately verifies spacecraft functionality and performance
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to solve performance issues
• Conduct test procedure and anomaly closure activities
• Support Systems Engineering and Certified Principle Engineers (CPEs) to verify test requirements
• Understand and use the principles and disciplines of spacecraft Test Engineering including policy, procedures, process disciplines, operations, safety, and command media
• Plan system test flow
• Have excellent organization and troubleshooting skills and be highly proficient in understanding hardware/software design, requirements generation, product development, test execution, and verification activities
• Be willing to work some overtime and support off-shifts and/or weekends in a 24/7 operations environment

Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field; or equivalent work experience
• Experience in spacecraft/system testing and/or integration
• Willingness to work overtime supporting off-shifts and weekends as needed
• Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience in an ATLO environment
• System Test Operations including the test development process, test execution, data analysis, anomaly resolution, and spacecraft/ground system integration
• Experience trouble shooting complex issues
• Proficiency with MATLAB coding and user interface development
• Strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic team environment with aggressive program schedules
• Experience in a test and requirements verification environment
• Familiarity with spacecraft system test and measurement equipment and methods
• Familiarity with AEHF space/ground segments, terminals, security, and operational procedures
• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change
• Space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering
• Experience in high visibility customer facing positions
• Ability to lead multi-functional teams, build strong relationships with team members and build consensus among peers
• Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate
