On the THAAD Missile program, this Systems Engineer Sr
will serve as the lead for the Missile Systems Mechanical Integration team. The systems engineer will be responsible for developing and designing interfaces between missile subsystems, leading missile integration affordability and producibility initiatives, overseeing the Missile mass properties board and training junior engineers.

Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.

Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing skills will be used frequently. As the THAAD system develops and subsystem interfaces change, this engineering lead will oversee analysis of complex drawings and dimensions.

Ability to travel up to 20%.

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with system engineering (e.g., generation of interface requirements, integration design and test issue resolution, etc.)
- Proficient in Link 16 Communications
- Knowledgeable with MIL-STD-6016
- Demonstrated ability to develop system level specifications, interface design message and protocols for integrated hardware and software
- Must have experience in interfacing with a DOD customer and industry counterparts
- Must hold a DOD Secret clearance or higher
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Project planning and/or earned value management (EVM) experience.
- Familiarity with programs across the Missile Defense Systems Agency.
- Knowledge of the system engineering process and tools.
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) communications.
- Candidate is MRB certified with the ability to perform research necessary to resolve and document weapon system integration issues as well as participate in failure review boards and assist with the disposition of discrepancy documentation.
- Experience and knowledge of Flight Test programs and National missile test range operations.
- Candidate will also work with other engineers on integration issues involving the development of future system capability
- Strong focus on Mission Success and proven ability to manage change are required
