Lockheed Martin is looking for a dedicated Systems Engineer to join the Satellite Engineering, Operations & Sustainment Support (SEOSS) team within the Operations and Sustainment organization.

As a Systems Engineer, you will:

• Provide overall on-site maintenance and support of the Windows/Unix systems
• Maintain smooth operation of virtualized computer systems environment
• Be the primary point of contact for questions or concerns raised by users for Windows/VMs.
• Perform Backup/Restore/Disaster Recovery, Hardware/System Monitoring, and System Maintenance
• Create/maintain user, administrator and service accounts
• Maintain system documentation, fine tune system performance, install system wide software, and allocate mass storage space

Typically has 2 - 5 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• Windows Systems Administration experience
• Unix Systems Administration experience
• Network experience
• Experience maintaining AWS Cloud based servers
• Ability to work 24x7 on-site shift work when required to support mission critical systems and user needs
• Active Security+ CE Certification or obtain within six months
• Active DoD Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with virtualization
• Experience with networking ideology (ie, DNS, Active Directory, GPO or DHCP configuration.)
• Familiarity with Windows Domain Administration.
• VMware, ESXi, VMView/View Horizon desktop/server virtualization, Zero/Thin Clients
• Microsoft Windows based systems including Windows XP, 7, 10, Server 2003, 2008 & 2012
• Manage group shares, home directories including shares and security permissions
• Ensure compliance with computer security policy, NISPOM configuration requirements
• Troubleshoot system integration issues in mixed Linux & Windows Systems
• Exchange Server, Lync Server, WSUS Server, ePO Server, SQL Server
• FLexLM license server for multiple software licensing requirements
• RHEL system configuration and administration
• IP subnetting and Switch configuration
• Configure hardware and software for servers, RAIDs, 3PAR, storage arrays, library storage devices
• Monitor system usage and perform system tuning
• Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance on Windows and RHEL systems
• Audit log gathering for ISSO review identifying specific events
• Change Management (CM) Review/Approval for CR & SCR processes and RAL and POAM process
• Configure and troubleshoot all aspects of Storage Area Network (SAN)
• Networked Attached Storage (NAS) supported protocols including mixed mode
• SSL/VPN certificate CA architecture
• Backups/restores of Physical and virtual machines
• Hardware/System Monitoring of physical and virtual servers
• OS updates, antivirus, WSUS patching/updates, Upgrades/Maintenance
• MCSA or MCSE Certification
• Experience with HTML, XML, and SQL
• Experience working with telemetry or telemetry processing systems
