Lockheed is looking for you to support the Next Gen Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) program as part of the Space Vehicle Resiliency team as an experienced systems engineer. As the Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) supporting Next Gen OPIR Auxiliary Payload (APS), you will be the primary Space Vehicle Resiliency point of contact in Sunnyvale, CA with occasional travel to the APS vendor site and Los Angeles, CA. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assisting the APS vendor, Air Force procurement agency and the Next Gen OPIR SEIT, Space, ATLO, and Ground teams with design, delivery, integration, and test of the program requirements.
• Support the lifecycle which includes the APS and Next Gen OPIR Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), development of Ground interfaces and SV Integration and Test (I&T).

Typically has 5 - 9 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience working flight hardware or systems integration for satellite applications, flight software development and/or FPGA design.
- Experience with hardware or software design, verification, installation, integration and/or test
-Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, time-management, and self-motivation skills
- Current TS/SCI clearance
Desired Skills:
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: resiliency, government furnished equipment (GFE), requirements development & verification, and space vehicle subsystem relationships.
- Experience with Military Space engineering processes: engineering review boards, discrepancy review boards, configuration management, requirements verification, ground system H/W and S/W engineering processes and aerospace operations.
- Experience with DoD and/or Intelligence Community space acquisition processes, operational testing and test policies, or systems deployment into operations.
