As an Operations Engineer you will monitor laboratory functions and equipment for Advanced Technology Center (ATC) Radio Frequency (RF) & Photonics Technology Group, including equipment availability, consumables, and logistics support to ensure fully available laboratory operations. Track tools and electronic equipment calibration schedules. Ensure clean room supplies are provided on-time, procedures are enforced, and lab space is properly allocated based on program priority. Perform duties as Responsible Area Supervisor, including controlling lab space access, coordination of department-owned property, and tend to equipment problems. Ensure proper functioning of lab space monitors for temperature, humidity. Conduct periodic walk-throughs to verify compliance with company environmental, safety, and health business requirements. Coordinate vendor deliveries/visits which support laboratory needs such as cyrogenic fluids, filters, frocks, and inspections. Manage department storage areas. Understand and apply company-specific security requirements related to property, authorized personnel lab access, and protection of classified information. Schedule and prioritize work for antenna assemblers in accordance with inputs from engineers and department management. Some support required for mechanical engineering tasks.

Basic Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a Laboratory, Electronics Assembly, or Logistics support

Ability to make cost, or purchase decisions

Experience working with outside suppliers, or vendors

Able to communicate with engineering staff, to assess department needs

Ability to understand technical requirements and associated compliance of finished products.

Strong ability to apply logical organization of work, strict attention to detail, and maintain open lines of communication with project and facility partners throughout the company.
Desired Skills:
Some understanding of electronics, engineering processes of design, fabrication, and test.

Electronics manufacturing, antenna manufacturing, and mechanical engineering knowledge considered a plus. Familiar with industrial workflow.
