You will perform as a member of a team in the role of Manufacturing Engineer supporting Production Operations within Lockheed Martin Space.

This role will require you to perform various duties including creating and/or developing mechanical and machining manufacturing processes; assist in investigating design/manufacturing factors such as
equipment or part availability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, weight and cost; assist with evaluating vendor designs/processes; developing and maintaining all assembly documentation; trouble shooting/correcting anomalies and discrepant hardware; work with others to
establish development, verification, and qualification test requirements, implement the test program, and evaluate the results; provide floor support for a mechanical manufacturing environment that includes machine shops, a sheet metal and fabrication shop, and a paint and chemical processing facility; interface with program personnel and report project status to program leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
- Competent with mechanical manufacturing and mechanical assembly.
- Competent at machining, sheet metal, and
- Minimum of two years of experience machining.
- Competent with mechanical engineering drawings and bill of materials.
- Competent with GD&T
- Must be able to work in a team environment with good organizational / communication skills.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of CNC and conventional machining and machine shop theory.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software packages such as, Creo (Pro-E), and Mastercam.
- Knowledge of SAP software.
- Experience with metallic chemical processing techniques.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
