Navy Strategic Programs (NSP) is experiencing significant growth and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers. We have opportunities that include advanced Hypersonic Technology, Glide Body Strike technology, and other key technology insertions. The early design and engineering phase provides you with tremendous career growth potential along with meaningful assignments to stretch and hone your expertise. This is a rare opportunity to work closely alongside our Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) partners to field a number of future strategic systems that the nation urgently needs.

In this key position, you will serve as the Product Owner of a geographically distributed GN&C team. The Product Owner will provide programmatic and technical leadership for the GN&C development activities relating to cost, schedule and work products for the team. The Product Owner demonstrates strategic leadership through the Agile development process including participating in and providing guidance to the design, development, documentation, testing and debugging of a large, complex, multi-platform system.

The Product Owner builds effective relationships with leadership and customers. Establish direction for team via tasking and priorities. Facilitate problem resolution with internal and external stakeholders.

Product Owner duties will include some or all of: product ownership/management, support management with IMS and EVM, facilitation of Program Increment planning activities, escalation and removal team impediments, management of risk and the drive for continuous improvement. Candidate should have the ability to energize the team, as well as drive, motivate, and keep the team focused on program milestones.

Demonstrated experience with Guidance, Navigation and Control/Flight Software GNC/FSW architectures and deployment in missile and re-entry applications is highly desired. The position will require travel on regular basis.

Typically has 14+ years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must have previous experience with Agile as a scrum master, product owner or agile coach
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience
- Must have broad technical skills including rigid body dynamics, control theory, and computer programming.
- Demonstrated experience using Matlab and Simulink for missile or hypersonic simulations, analysis of feedback control systems, closed loop guidance, or navigation algorithms.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral, essential to professional company and contract representation are a must.
- Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
Desired Skills:
- Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance
- Experience with simulation and physics-based modeling
- Experience with hypersonic and boost vehicle systems
- Experience with hypersonics flight controls and guidance
- Experience with FORTRAN and C++
- Experience with model based software development using Simulink (autocoding)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with EVM
- Experience with VersionOne issue tracking tool
- Experience with SAFe
- Experience with CoreSim
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated ability as a team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with team members.
- Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers.
