We are searching for a Communications Algorithm/Signal Processing Engineer to support our exceptionally hardworking team. In this role you will perform research and product development encompassing multiple engineering and scientific fields. Some of these subject areas include high frequency analog electronics, digital signal processing, and algorithm development in support of experiments and investigations related to communications, electronic attack and countermeasures.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:
• Developing new concepts
• Designing and conducting experiments
• Implementing breadboard prototypes for use in experiments

We are looking for someone to join our growing team of subject matter authorities to advance technical maturity in Lockheed Martin Space for resilience across constellations, communications modularity and adaptability to evolving mission threats. These efforts are part of our multi-year plan to develop, demo, then inject targeted capabilities into the next generation mission system offerings for our major customers.

You would typically have a Bachelors degree and 5-10 years of professional experience, a Masters and 3-8 years, or a PhD and 0-5 years. We have multiple openings, and candidates will also be considered at other levels.

Basic Qualifications:
• Analog and digital signal processing algorithms and techniques for communications
• Algorithm design for communications systems including filtering, channelization, coding, etc.
• MATLAB Simulink, Verilog, VHDL implementation experience
• Experience configuring lab and test equipment for tests and analyses
Desired Skills:
• Transition of prototype algorithms from models and / or breadboard to FPGA / ASIC implementations
• Sizing and estimation for software / firmware and analog and digital electronics
