Description:The M&P Dynamic Systems group is seeking a Senior Materials & Process Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities involve Materials and Process Engineering support of Dynamic Systems Design and Development which includes Rotors and Transmissions Systems and their producibility by the Dynamic Components Product Center and their extended Supply Chain. Primary support responsibilities require subject matter expertise in the areas of chemical and electro-chemical processes, including: cleaning/electro-cleaning, electroplating, anodizing, super-finishing, phosphate coating, chemical conversion coating, acid etching, passivation, and surface preparation for adhesive bonding. These responsibilities encompass shop floor process support and improvement, RRCA, design and development projects/programs involving primarily metallic materials. Additional responsibilities include qualification projects in support of material/process source changes. Metallic substrate materials will include titanium alloys, aluminum alloys, corrosion resistant steels, alloy steels, ultrahigh-strength steels, specialty alloys. This position provides a significant opportunity to contribute while developing knowledge and experience in the acceptance criteria for aerospace structural materials and processes. Also, this position can provide opportunities to participate on R&D projects in collaboration with other departments or divisions.
Basic Qualifications:
Subject matter expertise in the areas of chemical and electro-chemical processes, including: cleaning/electro-cleaning, electroplating, anodizing, super-finishing, phosphate coating, chemical conversion coating, acid etching, passivation, and surface preparation for adhesive bonding.
Experience in the above processes with respect to component producibility, shop floor process support, root cause & corrective actions, etc.
