We are looking for a candidate that has demonstrated practical problem-solving experience in their hobbies, academic projects, or previous internships. The ideal candidate will also be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, with a background in statistical techniques and/or an interest in pursuing an aviation/aerospace career in the area of Reliability and Maintainability.

A member of the Sikorsky Aircraft Reliability & Maintainability Team in Stratford CT, you will be expected to support several engineering and program activities on various exciting and challenging technical projects. Reliability Engineers are responsible for ensuring that the products and systems produced by Lockheed Martin meet reliability, maintainability, and availability requirements. Reliability engineers work with design engineering, manufacturing, integration and test, sourcing, and other functional areas to drive in reliability best practices into the design and ensure that they are met throughout the entire life cycle of a product. This intern opportunity provides the candidate with an opportunity to understand and contribute to the various reliability activities we perform on the programs we support.

Basic Qualifications:
• Pursuing Bachelor of Science degree in Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent.
• Strong communications skills (written and verbal), strong team leadership, administrative and interpersonal skills desired.
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Desired Skills:
• Practical problem-solving experience
• Course of study that includes statistics
• Familiarity with system engineering processes, including top-down design, requirements allocation/traceability, and integrated test approach.
• Experience in working within an integrated team environment.
• Experience with writing formal technical documentation.
