THE WORK
This Quality Manager (QM) position supports Backshop Operations with a primary focus on the Receiving Inspection, MRB QA, Electrical and Hydraulic ATP labs and non-conforming material cribs in Connecticut. The QM is responsible for all aspects of quality and mission success as the Quality Leader for the above areas. The position will report to the Quality Senior Manager for Backshop Operations in the RMS Sikorsky line of business. The candidate will provide leadership to both salary and hourly personnel, including Quality Engineers and Quality Assurance supporting this area within the Sikorsky line of business. The QM will be responsible for support throughout the program life cycle from proposals through production, inclusive of the flow-down and execution of all Quality Statements of Work to enterprise stakeholders. The QM will provide leadership through identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives in these areas that support the Quality Organization’s key performance measurements, vision and strategy. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Managing and maintaining the Quality Management System;
• Participating/presenting in CAB’s, Quality Council and Product Cost Council;
• Managing collaboration efforts with both the customer and DCMA for contract statement of work compliance to the quality management system, non-conforming material, corrective actions and reporting of year over year improvement metrics;
• Maintaining a collaborative relationship with the Local 1150;
• Collaborating across enterprise functions to ensure quality requirements are executed and complied with;
• Participating in and supporting the Integrated Product Team (IPT) initiatives, such as SIA/CAB/PQMT events and product quality investigations;
• Manage all quality budgets for both production and in-service support, as well as, the cost center budget, headcount, overtime and DCI%;
• Performing for salary performance management, including annual reviews and salary planning; and
• Leading the execution and achievement of all applicable Lockheed Martin, RMS and RMS Sikorsky business objectives.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering related discipline or equivalent experience.
Experienced leader with a minimum of 8 years in various Quality positions with increasing responsibility.
Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions, set priorities and provide succinct direction in a dynamic business environment.
Experience developing and maintaining positive working relationships with external customers.
Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership skills.
Experience building a strong team of direct and matrixed employees.
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and drive change.
Strong working knowledge of problem solving/root cause analysis and process management.
Desired Skills:
Master’s Degree in Business or Engineering related discipline.
Supplier Quality, Product Quality, ATP Lab and Material Logistics experience preferred.
Experienced in implementing and maintaining AS9100-certified Quality Management Systems.
Extensive knowledge of DOD contract requirement, Quality Assurance Management and Quality Engineering.
Talent development and team building skills.
Strong communication skills including the ability to interface effectively with executive leadership on strategic and tactical issues affecting the quality of products delivered.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
