Description:Provide Manufacturing Engineering technical support within Composite Blade manufacturing ensuring processes are completed according to Engineering Drawing requirements and delivered to the customer in a timely manner. Create and maintain work instructions, tooling orders, and provide rework/repair work instruction to Operations personnel as necessary.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Responsible for team’s engineering support of composite blades assemblies while adhering to safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements.
• Preparation and presentation of Product Cost Council (PCC) tickets.
• Work closely with Design Engineering to perform producibility reviews for composite manufacturing components/assemblies.
• Responsible for providing a safe work environment by implementing Environmental, Health and Safety (ESH) projects
• Assist Operations with root cause investigations and corrective action plans to drive Producibility improvements and reduce cost of poor quality (COPQ)
• Initiate engineering cost projects in support of reducing direct labor as well as SRR.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degrees from an accredited college in a related engineering discipline.
• Strong PC skills including proficiency in MS Office and experience in MS Project or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Desired Skills:
Sikorsky aircraft or Aerospace industry experience a plus, specifically knowledge of manufacturing engineering practices. Background in composite material manufacturing techniques, processes and associated tooling engineering is highly desired.
Strong PC skills including proficiency in MS Office and experience in MS Project and Catia V5 is a plus.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
MatrixOne, Solumina G6 / G7, and SAP experience is desired.
Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with limited supervision is required.
Knowledge of manufacturing engineering practices. Background in composite material manufacturing techniques, processes and associated tool engineering.
