The Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) engineer at Lockheed Martin will have the opportunity to design, simulate and verify technologies such as missile autopilot, guidance algorithms, inertial target tracking, and Navigation algorithms using Kalman Filters for optimal estimation techniques. They will also have the opportunity to design, simulate and verify precision servo control and pointing algorithms for gimbaled seekers and other sensors as well as various actuators and mechanisms. Modelling and simulation of these systems is performed primarily in Matlab and C++.

Sikorsky in Stratford, CT is currently seeking a Guidance, Navigation and Controls Engineer with experience in Control Law (CLAW) Algorithm Analysis and Development.
The job entails System and Control Law Algorithm development, integration, and testing. Support of the flight test and Handling Qualities (HQ) activities.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree.

1 + years experience with flight dynamics, and simulation modeling; understanding of Control Laws (CLAWs)

1 + years experience with Matlab/Simulink is required.
Candidate must have an understanding of classical stability and analysis techniques.
Desired Skills:
Experience with flight dynamics, and simulation modeling; understanding of Control Laws (CLAWs) design, linear and non-linear analysis techniques, time, and frequency domain analysis are a strong plus.
Rotorcraft experience is preferred.
