Description:This position is responsible for administering U.S. Government contracts associated with USG Aftermarket activities, including but not limited to Overhaul and Repair.

Contract administration responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

All aspects of contract administration support (including proposal development, contract negotiation, contract administration and contract closeout processes) for U.S. Government contracts.

Evaluation of contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations. Maintain communications to ensure timely contract execution by the parties. Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.

Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers as the Contract Representative to the Program Office Integrated Product Team (IPT) for assigned contracts and provide guidance, interpretation, advice and counsel to the Integrated Product Teams (IPT's) and Program management, regarding Contract matters.

Perform other duties as assigned to Aftermarket activities, including working with Legal on Intellectual Property related matters.

Promote an ethics-based business culture in his/her scope of responsibility to ensure full compliance with Sikorsky's “Code of Ethics,” the “Policy Statement on Business Ethics and Conduct in Contracting with the U.S. Government,” and related policies.

Actively participate in Department process improvement initiatives.

Some travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have U.S. government Contracting experience and excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and must have the ability to effectively establish working relationships with all customers, both internally and externally.

The selected candidate must be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision. The candidate must be able to handle multiple assignments and achieve or exceed program deadlines in a fast paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

The candidate will be skilled in interpreting contract requirements, contract change impacts, and supporting development of U.S. Government Contract proposals. The individual will be adept at creating contract terms and conditions, working with the IPT developing contracting strategies based upon contract terms, articulating that position to the business and ensuring the business is able to effectively articulate the position to the Customer to ensure effective Program execution.
Desired Skills:
The successful candidate must have U.S. Government Contract experience specifically with Cost Reimbursement and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contracts and possess a solid understanding of the FAR and DFARS and their application to U.S. Government procurements.

Additionally the candidate must have a solid understanding of contracting process and the ability to work effectively and independently in a dynamic multi-program environment.

Candidate must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral and strong organizational skills. Microsoft Office skills are required.
