Job ID: 547551BR Date posted: Jan. 13, 2021 City: Owego, StratfordState: Connecticut, New YorkProgram: FVL - FLRAA Description:Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, a Lockheed Martin Company, is seeking a contract manager to support our portfolio of Future Vertical Lift (FVL) programs with the US Government, specifically the Army’s Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA). We are currently building the FVL team as our workload continues to grow, and this will be a high transparency role within a portfolio of Corporate Focus programs.

The buying commands are using a variety of non-procurement contracts, so the candidate should be comfortable with OTAs, TIAs, and other non-FAR/DFARS based agreements in addition to typical procurement contracts. This position will be at the forefront of developing and implementing strategies to protect Sikorsky's and Lockheed Martin's portfolio of IP, address and shape customer requirements, and transition to a program of record for FLRAA.

The contracts leader selected for this role will perform as a valued business leader and partner with business development, programs, finance, and functional counterparts to drive creative and competitive contracting approaches to FLRAA execution and capture efforts. She or he will drive contractual strategies across the FLRAA program within Sikorsky's FVL business portfolio, ensure compliance with Lockheed Martin policies & procedures, establish and refine contracting practices to ensure all contractual requirements are met during program execution, and lead contracts support for proposal development, fact finding and negotiations.

The candidate must be capable of building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external customers, and acting as the company’s primary contact with external customers on contracts-related matters.
Basic Qualifications:
- Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.

- Depth of experience in contract administration and negotiation with U.S. Government, commercial and international customers commensurate with a leadership role.

- Significant experience with and knowledge of the FAR and DFARS.

- Excellent interpersonal skills both oral and written.

- Ability to effectively influence peers, leadership and customers to acquire the optimal contractual outcomes for Lockheed Martin.

- Currently possess a Secret Security clearance or have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. (To obtain a clearance, you must be a U.S. citizen)
Desired Skills:
- Expertise in implementing and navigating Lockheed Martin processes and procedures.

- Experience with driven major defense acquisition programs, with experience in helicopter acquisition programs a plus.

- The contracts leader must also be proactive in anticipating customer issues and developing solutions which build “situation where everyone is happy” outcomes for LM and LM’s customers. The leader will work well under time constraints in a fast-paced environment. If the candidate is an experienced leader, she or he will be adept at coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, providing performance assessment, defining work assignments, and other HR-related responsibilities.
