Business Manager – Aftermarket

Description:Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company (Sikorsky) based in Stratford, CT, is a world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced helicopters for military and commercial missions. The Army & Air Force Systems (AAFS) Aftermarket Program Team within Sikorsky encompasses key customer-facing roles with the responsibility to ensure support of the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, DLA, and Other Government Agencies. Sikorsky is seeking an experienced professional to work as part of the Program Management team to provide business management and capture support. The Business Manager will be responsible for negotiations, financial planning coordination, and capture management for AAFS Aftermarket. The Business Manager will work with Business Development, USG Business Office (USGBO) and Contracts within Sikorsky on all AAFS Aftermarket pursuits. This critical position is located in Stratford, Connecticut. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, leadership in the following areas: managing incoming proposal requests; serving as primary customer interface on Aftermarket proposals; coordinating with the Program Management and Business Development teams to ensure bookings targets are met; supporting the U.S. Army Government Business and Contracting Offices weekly IPT meetings; leading periodic meetings between the U.S. Army , DLA and Sikorsky Business Development teams; supporting the Program Director with planning, program management reviews and briefings with senior leadership; and continually improving the processes and metrics needed for outstanding customer service.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in contracts, business development or business management and knowledge of aftermarket programs, U.S. government contracting, program management and the capture process.
• Excellent oral presentation and written communications skills with experience and skill in briefing senior management, which may entail both RMS and Customer executives.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with Sikorsky and Lockheed Martin products and services is a requirement.
• The preferred candidate be self-motivated, possess the ability to organize and prioritize a high volume of work and have solid interpersonal, management and leadership skills.
• USG acquisition process, strong financial acumen, and orders planning experience is desired. Travel 15-25%.
