The Flight Controls and Autonomy team is currently seeking highly motivated technology pioneers with a desire to steer and lead the Autonomy industry. Successful candidates must be willing and able to work on highly complex challenging problems, leading to world-changing technological breakthroughs.

Team’s technical areas of emphasis include Fly-By-Wire Flight Control Systems, Guidance/Navigation & Control (GNC), Flight Test, Autonomy, Aviation Robotics, Perception, AI and Motion Planning.

In this role, you'll work with a team to build novel software architectures, algorithms, and tools for modeling the world. The world model representation should fuse a-priori information (terrain, towers, airpsaces) with real-time sensor data. The world model representation is tightly integrated into our motion planning software to deliver a safe and smooth path for helicopter.

Develop databases and analytics tools to enable collection and processing of very large terrain and point cloud based data sets.

Basic Qualifications:
B.S. in computer science, electrical, robotics engineering or related science field.

MS Preferred
5+ Years of Experience

•Experience with localization, mapping and segmentation.
•Experience in sensor, fusion and processing.
•Strong C/C++ programming background
•Experience with algorithm design.
•Commitment to mentoring and team development.
Desired Skills:
•Experience with heterogeneous computing and parallelization.
•Experience with inter-process communications layers.
•Experience working with large databases.
•Linux environment.
•Experience in LIDAR point cloud processing.
