IT Infrastructure Associate Manager

Description:This leadership role is designed to lead, manage, and support a team of 5-7 IT Architects within the Product Capabilities group of the Bobcat program. The team is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining the customer’s mission critical IT infrastructure by:
• Performing trade studies and product evaluations
• Installation and configuration of new or upgraded hardware
• Integrating new COTS solutions for mission support functions (e.g. patching, scanning, monitoring, integrity checking, auditing, backup and recovery, etc.)
• Maintaining product licenses, warranties, and sparing
• Configuring security hardening settings (e.g. STIG compliance)
• Responding to operational anomalies as Tier 3/ Tier 4 system administrators
• Producing maintenance documentation for Tier 1 / Tier 2 system administrators
• Following the customer Configuration Management Plan to ensure controlled baseline changes
• Manages the development of policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

The important work of this group assures alignment and involvement with customer engineering related initiatives, inclusive of common products, processes and design techniques.
This leader is also responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
We are looking for a leader who has mission and operations experience in a similar setting, demonstrates leadership skills, and a strong desire to help the greater team be successful. Our new team leader is someone who demonstrates excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to varying levels of employees, management, and customers. You should be able to speak to your ability to multi-task, and especially to perform multiple assignments while meeting competing deadlines.
Basic Qualifications:
- TS/SCI w/ CI poly prior to start
- Leadership experience of a technical team as team lead, project lead, or formal leader
- Experience leading technical projects
- Security+ certification or higher (within first 6 months)
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience with Bobcat customer and/or program
- Experience with cost management, project planning and logistics
- Previous Windows system administration experience
- Previous experience with maintaining hardware and COTS
- Familiar with software development processes and standard methodologies
- Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership experience with diverse teams
- Strong collaboration/team building skills
- Previous experience with virtualized environment (VMware or similar)
- Previous experience with Veritas Netbackup
- Previous experience with Microsoft SCCM / SCOM
- Previous experience with Nessus
- Previous experience with cross domain solutions
- Previous experience with storage solutions (SAN)
- Previous experience with Firewall administration
