Lockheed Martin Space in Silverdale, WA has a challenging opportunity for a Metrology Planner/Scheduler within the SWFPC Metrology group.

Your role as a Metrology Planner/Scheduler will work under the guidance and direction of a group lead and includes a diverse set of tasks and responsibilities:

o In-place Calibration service coordination with a variety of customers.
o Fleet Calibration service coordination with a variety of customers.
o Ensure the Calibration data system is accurate and up to date.
o Provide customer scheduling support daily and seek out customer feedback.
o Provide formal presentations and informal interactions with customers that serve to effectively coordinate the calibration program.
o Support lab cross-functional groups including business operations, planning/scheduling, technicians, and quality assurance.
o Provide a high quality customer service experience.
o Comprehend and follow Department Procedures (DPs) and other organizationally generated documentation.
o Assist with the further improvement of the organization’s salaried employee Training Dashboard.
o Support Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations, when assigned.
o Assist in the processing of return of Vendor/Government Lab/PSNS calibrated assets.
o Assist in processing the return of Certified Tools.
o Assist in the review and processing of rejected assets.
o Support Continuous Improvement activities in the lab.
o Perform technical and non-technical special studies and projects as assigned.
o Attends meetings/briefings, as directed.

Basic Qualifications:
Your success in this role will require the following:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a technically related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Possesses analytical and technical problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task, be thorough and detail oriented, have rapid job closure coupled with strong analytical skills for dealing with a wide array of diverse customers and situations
• As a successful member of the team that delivers exceptional results, you will need excellent communication skills and the ability to develop rapport with multiple partners while supporting metrology planning/scheduling
• Understanding of Procedural Compliance to follow U.S. Government regulations and Company operating procedures.
• Excellent computer skills in the Windows environment
• Interim Secret Clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
• US Citizenship required and must not possess dual citizenship.
Desired Skills:
• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline preferred
• Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate work activities with civilian and military customers
• Data Management experience
• Workload planning and scheduling experience
• Basic understanding of metrology concepts and service requirements
• Promote change from an optimistic point of view
• Knowledge of lean six sigma and continuous improvement
• Ability to support limited domestic travel
• Active security clearance
