Program planning provides an outstanding perspective on the challenges of building helicopters. In this position the candidate will acquire insight into the inner workings of helicopter manufacturing through interactions with Finance, Contracts, Proposals, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Supportability. Candidate must have planning experience and be able to step in quickly and provide scheduling analytics and expertise to the program team.
Position is located Shelton Connecticut and will serve as a senior planner on the Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH) program. Qualified Candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written). Candidate must be able to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
- Accountable for monthly IMS deliverables
- Conduct analyses including critical path, SRAs and monthly management metrics
- Supports ad hoc requests for schedule : What-if” analyses
- Ensures adherence to defined program processes and EV guidelines
- Reviews and approves CRs
- Ensures accurate hand off of EV data to Finance for monthly tool integrations (BAC/BCWP)
- Supporting EVMS requests for their projects
- GPD process management (Delegable)
- Change Board Administration for their program (Delegable)
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business related field or equivalent experience/combined education.
Must have 3+ years of scheduling experience and have experience with application of Earned Value Management (EVMS) practices in a planning environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, SAP, Primavera, COBRA.
Understanding of Critical Path Methodology, Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA) and a sound validated understanding of the Corporate PPMP, and other governing documents related to earned value and program planning. Ability to lead monthly business rhythm and ensure IMS CDRL development, includes critical path generation, schedule impact analysis. Efficiently communicate schedule impacts to the program management team and ensure on time delivery of the IMS. Understanding of the EV Guidelines, corporate policies including PPMP-01 and an understanding of the DCMA Data Driven metrics and DCMA surveillance process.
